About the artistic process: Following two firings to achieve the desired design, this bowl was created using the 'drop-out' vessel technique. A fused glass blank is placed over a flat mold with a central hole, and it undergoes kiln firing. The glass gracefully slumps through the hole, taking on the form of a bowl. This meticulous process requires careful monitoring to achieve the desired shape. Once cooled, the bowl is separated from the glass ring left behind, and the edges are expertly ground and polished.
